Admission at doctoral studies

Admission at doctoral studies for Romanian citizens is established by the Regulation for organization and development of doctoral studies at “Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu.

Foreign citizens from the EU member states, the European Economic Space and the Swiss Confederation can register to the doctoral studies under the same conditions stipulated by the law for the Romanian citizens, including the fees (the fee for entrance exam, the study fee and the fee for the defense of the PhD thesis).

The EU citizens who apply for the doctoral studies in Romania must submit a certificate of equivalence of their studies, issued by the National Centre for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas in Bucharest.

Admission at doctoral studies for foreign citizens is regulated by Section 6 from the following methodology.

TUITION FEES for foreign citizens who are not members of EU, European Economic Space and the Swiss Confederation will be decided by the Ministry of Education through the Letter of Acceptance, according to the Government Emergency Ordinance no 22/2009 and the amount approved in the Decision of the LBUS Senate from March 30th, 2017, Annex 3:

Full-time studies:

Research field: 1. Technical, agronomy, sciences, mathematics and applied mathematics, sport:  320 euro/month

2.  Human-social, psychology, economics: 270 euro/month

3.  Medicine: 370 euro / month

4. Music and arts: 470 euro / month

5. Theatre: 800 euro / month
